Re: Brodhead Reunion Forums

Pat, Thinking about a forum on wood, wooden structures, and adhesives,,,, there may not be enough subject matter. I could combine it all with a toned down forum with added information on Stewart System and Stits Polyfiber covering procedures. The covering part would not be as intensive as last years...

Re: Brodhead Reunion Forums

Hi Pat, Last year I volunteered to conduct a fabric covering forum which went very well. There were some questions regarding wood, wooden structures, and adhesives. Perhaps I could conduct a forum on that subject if you think there is enough interest. Don Brewer

Ford GAV carb adjustment

I hope anyone with a Ford Model A or B can help me with this question. Does anyone have a connection to the GAV that will provide mixture control? Every a/c and photo I have seen, the GAV is wired in a fixed position or there is no control attachment at all. If this valve is ignored ,then there is n...

Re: Brodhead Reunion Forums

If there is interest in a comprehensive overview of fabric covering processes, materials, and techniques, I will volunteer to present a forum on this topic. This will be my first year to attend, so this topic may have been covered in past reunion forums. Don Brewer , tech counselor EAA # 302 , Conro...

Re: crank shaft -magneto connection

I thank all for their input. I have talked with my magneto overhaul specialist and learned that a flexible aircraft coupling has been in use by several certificated airframe manufacturers for many years. He is overhauling my magneto and installing the coupling for me. The coupling will be installed ...

Re: fabric cement for pietenpol

I can suggest an amount if you use Stewart Systems. About 1 gallon of Ekobond and 2 gallons of Ekofill is a fairly good estimate. More Ekobond will be required if you decide to seal the fabric. That step is not required in their STC qualifications. Call Stewart System personnel directly and they can...

crank shaft -magneto connection

I am hoping that some of you builders have found an up dated method of connecting the crankshaft to the magneto. All I have are the early drawings on the original plans. There must be a better way with a better universal joint and magneto attachment. Can anyone give me an insight to how this is done...

Ford Model B

I am a new member to the BPA, but have built 2 Piets and other aircraft. I am familiar with Continental and Lycoming, but I have not done a Ford installation. Could someone please send me off in the right direction to obtain information on installing a Ford B for my Sky Scout? Thanks, Don Brewer
