First off use a clevis on all your cables, guys short cut on the bay cross cables in the wings and the thimbles stretch or flatten out and the cables loosen up. Hi this was my solution to hinges, I cut from a piece of 2 x 2 tubing. made a jig for the drill press both ends and the screw holes are drilled the same distance from the corner.
when you put the hinges on off set the last set in the opposite direction

Mikuni carburator
I'm considering using a Mikuni Carburetor on a corvair engine. my experience is carburetors with slides do not ice up, which eliminates the need to carb heat which would certainly minimize some building. does anyone have any input on this?
