Re: Fueslage Modifications For Diffrent Engines.

Since no one else has answered, I will try and give you some information. I am still building so I am not a flyer - yet. What is the weight of your proposed engine? That is your biggest issue, making sure that it weighs a reasonable amount. Second, you will have to fabricate your own engine mount an...

I am not yet flying, but that is essentially what I did. I sacrificed the aft end of two extra ribs I had made, and made what you call a "shorty rib." Seems to have worked.

Brian, I spoke to the tech guy at Poly Fiber a few weeks ago about this same subject of varnishes to use. Oscar, I will write it up and send it in to Pat. And yes, after the T88 had dried overnight, I would take my spatula from the dollar store (the kind you would use for flipping pancakes), slowly go around the edges til the rib "popped off" the jig. I would then flip the half-finished rib ov...

It is very nice of BPA to have a jig to loan, but I would encourage you to build your own. You may need it again, and they really are not hard to make. I made three (yes, it took three to get to one I liked, but I learned in the process). The last one was made from MDF and small nails for aligning t...
