It may have been mentioned on here already and for those of you that get the MAACnewsletter, you would know, but Lowell Frank passed away last month. Talkingwith Lowell under a shade tree was always a highlight of my trips to Brodhead. He was an extremely interesting, colorful, and entertaining guy who led fulllife. He had the blue and silver Piet and for many years regularly flew it intoBrodhead. It had an inverted Funk engine, a Warner, and Lambert at differenttimes. I may have missed a couple in there too. Anyway, keep him in mind atthe memorial brat lunch!Don EmchNX899DERead this topic online here:http://forums.matronics.com/viewtopic.p ... __________

Sorry to hear that, Don. Lowell was a character and no mistake. The firsttime I went to Brodhead in 2000 he had a 145 hp Warner radial engine on hisPietenpol. To quote Axel Olssen "I didn't like it much." Just too big.Didn't look right for a Pietenpol.Lowell was always ready to talk about Pietenpols and his sex life. He musthave been close to 90 when he died.Jack PhillipsNX899JPSmith Mountain Lake, Virginia-----Original Message-----

I think you can do all that stuff on the World Wide Web these days. You can dohats atleast...then they just mail it to you. My daughter was on a hat site, soI tested a hat design ..took 5 or 10 minutes. I never actually made the commitmentto order it though..--------KLNCA65-8N2308CSlick 4330'sAN HardwareAirframe 755TTW72CK-42 SensenichStandard Factory GN-1Read this topic online here:http://forums.matronics.com/viewtopic.p ... ttachments: http://forums.matronics.com//files/imag ... ___Subject: Pietenpol-List: Re: Lowell Frank

Wow, this is a sad year indeed. I didn't even know Lowell was his first name asI knew him as Piety Lowell! Didn't get to talk to him much as my girlfriendwas always around and he was always way more interested in talking to her...As it should be.Didn't see it mentioned here, but found out today that bill rewery's wife passedaway last month... Gonna be a lot of toasting this year... Everyone be safe on the annual pilgrimage!ToolsRead this topic online here:http://forums.matronics.com/viewtopic.p ... __________
