Piet friends,Years ago wife Susan and I started hosting a brat lunch Friday noon at Brodhead. We have enjoyed it so very much, meeting many friends and hearing so many stories.People like Joe Swithin, Tom Kreiner and others have contributed fantasticside dishes every year. Last year we donated $450 to Chapter 431 for memorialbricks for two great aviators Vi Kapler and Dick Navratil. It's beena great ride!Because the lunch has grown to such a large size I'm concerned that its competingwith the Chapter's food sales that Friday. They are so gracious hosting thePiet/Hatz Fly-In I don't want to jeopardize that relationship or their profits. So we won't be hosting a lunch this year. We can't thank everyone enoughfor assisting and attending. We do look forward to new and lasting friendshipsdeveloped every year at Brodhead.Thank you,Jack & Susan TextorJack TextorSent from my iPad________________________________________________________________________________Subject: Pietenpol-List: Independence, Oregon fly-in

Howdy again, low 'n' slow fliers-The EAA Chapter 292 and Independence Airpark (7S5) are hosting a fly-in this August12-14. I think the Grumman Pilots Ass'n are also trying to get some Grummansinto the mix and nearby Van's Aircraft (Aurora, Oregon) will also be showingup. There is information about the event here:http://www.eaa292.org/2016-independence-fly-in/My interest in mentioning this is that the way I first got interested in the Pietenpol some 15 years ago was when I first laid eyes on Ernie Moreno's Aircamper. Ernie lives at the airpark and I took some photos and did a little writeup on his airplane after my visit, here: http://www.flysquirrel.net/piets/piets.html . As it turns out, I need to be in nearby Salem on the opening Friday of the fly-in, so I'm planning to make the attempt to fly my Piet up there to be there for the Saturday of the event. We'll see if my plans work out!--------Oscar ZunigaMedford, ORAir Camper NX41CC "Scout"A75 power, 72x36 Culver propRead this topic online here:http://forums.matronics.com/viewtopic.p ... ______Date: Thu, 14 Jul 2016 23:28:35 -0500Subject: Re: Pietenpol-List: Re: Don Youngblood

Glen; I plan to be winging my way back to Medford on Saturday afternoon. Withthe long days that we have, I don't have to leave till mid-afternoon, but thelater in the day it gets, the stronger the winds.--------Oscar ZunigaMedford, ORAir Camper NX41CC "Scout"A75 power, 72x36 Culver propRead this topic online here:http://forums.matronics.com/viewtopic.p ... __________
