Photos of a completed Aircamper, uncovered

Post by Brian Amato »

Just got back from Brodhead and Oshkosh. EAA was featuring the Corben and the Pietenpol and a guy (I've forgotten his name but he's on staff at EAA) had is Aircamper on display. Appeared to be completely done and ready to cover. It gave us all a terrific chance to walk around and see how every little detail of the airplane is built and how it all goes together. I took a ton of pictures. I know it will help me a bunch when I'm building and assembling.
It might help you too.
If you have a need for a particular shot of a particular area that you're not quite sure about, drop me an email and tell me what area and what part it is and, if I have a shot of that, I'll attach it to an email and send it to you. We've all got to help one another.
I won't waste the bandwidth here so we should do that via email. Here's mine:

Makes sense. Let me figure out how to make an album. Any words of advice?

Great. Hope it will be of some help to all of us still working through the "what the heck are the plans trying to show here" phase and at least see how another guy did it.
For sure, there will be those who say "naaa....that's not right. He didn't do it the way the plans show..." But it's a place to start. Good luck.

Thanks for the picts, Brian- But be wary of copying someone else's "modifications" or changes from the plans, especially if they are not flight-tested...

Here's another idea: why not use an existing and beautifully-populated site to post these pictures? I'm talking about Chris Tracy's Westcoastpiet site, which is a gold mine of information and photos.
