I am close to having my Continental 0200 GN1 ready for flight. I bought a usedMcCauley 1A105 SCM 74X54 prop to use. I plan on taking it to a prop shop to have it repainted and re-pitched. Any suggestions on what pitch I shouldhave it re-pitched to?Read this topic online here:http://forums.matronics.com/viewtopic.p ... ___Subject: Pietenpol-List: Re: Cont. 0200 prop pitch

I'm sure you're going to get multiple responses on your questions. Here's my $0.02... The 74 x 54 prop is a LOT of prop for an O-200, and would besuitable as a cruise prop on a clean airframe. That's not exactly what a Pietis.Have you checked ground clearance for the this prop? I know a lot of the smallcontinentals are using 72" props. I've heard of 72 x 42, 44, etc., so thatmay be a starting point.Maybe someone out there has an O-200 powered Piet of GN-1 who can give you somegood info on how to re-pitch, etc.Best of luck!--------Tom KreinerRead this topic online here:http://forums.matronics.com/viewtopic.p ... ______Date: Sat, 6 Jun 2015 12:44:51 -0400Subject: Re: Pietenpol-List: Cont. 0200 prop pitch
