If you aren't, or want to build quicker, just getthe kit. So it really depends as you see.Doug fir is pretty easy to get if you don't mind the weight penalty, which maybe moot if you're not going to install batteries, transponders, radios... If you're using a hunnert horse corvair, may not matter. If you're using a ford,it might. If you live near Madison wi, spruce is available locally. Maybe also so out westor merely a very well stocked lumber yard. If you live near Atlanta, shippingthat stuff won't matter because you can pick up locally. Same for other vendors.Great choice of plane. Some painters plastic, some duct tape to seal the bag. A simple vacuum Venturi and compressor to pull it down. It may remove the moisture.I do think though if this occurred with a heavy UV load and the glue within thewood softened and re hardened, then there are other concerns.
