Help with info about a certain Piet

Hi all,
So I saw a while back a certain Pietenpol. I don't remember the builder's name. It was at a fly-in and also featured in some type of online magazine or similar. If memory serves me correct, it had the following;
It was black in color but I'm not sure it was 100% black.
Lycoming engine that did not have a cowling.
Externam aileron controls
I think the builder was an A&P.
I believe it had an axle type landing gear but I'm not certain.
And I think it was converted to single seat.
