Re: Where to buy Plywood
Oscar,
Thanks! I had already tried them. They said they do not make any plywood thinner then 1/8th in thick.
I ended up just ordering a sheet from aircraft spruce (ouch!). Package just came. Thanks guys

Where to buy Plywood
Im looking for a 4x4 sheet of marine or aircraft grade plywood 1/16in thick. Where do you guys buy? Aircraft spruce? Shipping is brutal. Im near Seattle WA. Any ideas on a local company to look into? Thanks!

Interchanging Piet Parts
How compatible are Piets would you say? Is it likely that wings from one plane would work fine with the center section of another plane? Should the tails pretty much all work between aircraft? Or all they all pretty custom one-off type builds so it is unlikely for parts to interchange?

Open Cockpit for those with Glasses
What do you guys do about this? I wear prescription glasses and have yet to find a great option. Goggles don't seem to fit around the glasses well. I got one of these: https://www.ebay.com/itm/aviation-helmet-with-headset-pilot-helmets-YUENY-EN966-certificate-YAHH-2000-PNR/272405394264?hash=item3f6c...

How many Piets have Dual Controls? What about cabane struts?
Getting a second Piet this Thanksgiving. It only has rear controls and bracing wires instead of cabane struts. Is this very unusual? Im sure less than desirable?

Re: epoxy failure
Yes I have had epoxy fail on my wood minimax. Hard landings, stepping on the wrong spot like you did etc. Im not a big fan of the wood/epoxy. I like metal fasteners myself. But then Im pretty rough with my planes doing stol flying. I really wish I had the steel frame instead. Oh well.

Re: Any Piet Flyers in WA state?
These are 21x8.00x6 tires. They really roll over rough ground and sticks nicely.
The decals said Ulrika Trans Global. They are removed though. Wasn't a big fan of that.
I would love some big spoked old fashioned tires. One day...
