Free Tail Feathers
I am cleaning out my hangar and have a set of tail feathers that I obviously no longer need. I hate to throw them out. If somebody wants them for their man cave, let me know. All I want to be reimbursed for the cost of packaging and shipping. They were modified to fit my Steel tube fuselage project,...

Builders and Friends, As you know from my previous posting, my project has sold. Today, my new-found friend and Marine brother, Paul Oswalt, came and picked up HIS Piet project. Corvair Warp Drive Prop- Factory Serviced
I have a 66" warp drive for a Corvair engine for sale. I bought it, and sent it to the factory where they inspected the blades and hub, balanced them and repainted them. They have the white painted tips. They are the props with the nickel leading edge. They have never been installed and flown s...

Things have changed in my life, and it is time to let my project go and let someone finish her up. A tough decision, but a necessary one. So my change of plans creates a great opportunity for a builder. 1. I have a steel tube fuselage project for sale. Most welding (not all, but most) has either bee...

One other thought. Since it is a direct line from rudder bar end to rudder horn, you could do this - You could measure a straight piece of line attached to the rudder horn. Measure from a fixed position (anywhere along that line is acceptable - even a small rod or stick clamped to a fixed position a...

I am not using a rudder bar on my steel tube fuselage and tail, but I understand your concerns. I had the same question as I was positioning my rudder pedals. If you are making all of those changes, you are not really building a Pietenpol Air Camper. You are building your own aircraft version, based on the Air Camper/Sky Scout designs. No judgment here. Just an observation. If that is the case, why don't you save yourself a lot of work, and just do this -...

Luke,
I would post an ad in your local Craigslist as well as the Craigslist areas that you are willing to drive to and place a "Want To Buy" add. DO NOT say it is for an airplane or the price will be jacked up. Just tell them it is for a project. You will get a bite eventually.

Gary, Do you plan on letting people fly your airplane a fair amount so that is why you need adjustability? If it is for you because of leg length you may be better of making a seat that fits you. The airplane is already tail heavy so adding a mechanism may add weight where you don’t want or need it....
