Graham Lee developed plans for the Nieuport 10 which is a tandem two seat aircraft.

Having built a Nieuport 11, I can attest to the simplicity of building in tube and gussets.

I would certainly get the plans for the 10 and decide what suits you.

I had a set of "raw" aluminium castings, but I figured that the job of drilling them accurately was beyond me without machining equipment.

I ended up using pairs of turnbuckle forks, which work extremely well.
