ChetI was thinking about an eye bolt through the tail post near the bottom.Also adding blocking where the last brace meets the tail post to help transferloads to the brace and longerons.The hinge would look something like the hinge for the bell crank (but welded).Also adding a travel stop so the bungee would always be under some tension and thetail wheel would not flop down in flight. The normal spring is fully compressed at 190lbs soa 400 lb bungee with a 2 to 1 advantage in the tail wheel arm should be about the same.My old tail wheel with two leaf spring compressed with about 100 lbs.Marc

Hmm. I've yet to fly my Gregga (this weekend=2C crossed fingers) but it has no trim and the fuel tank is in front of the passenger's cockpit. From speaking to those that have flown it (my dad and 2 previous owners) it really doesn't present any sort of problem.JonJon
