If you happen to have a flying Piet in the southern California area (or within a few hundred miles of it) and want to trade for an LSA Pulsar 1 project that isn't flying yet but is fairly complete=2C you can check out this link:http://www.contactmagazine.com/Classifi ... .htmlOscar ZunigaAir Camper NX41CC "Scout"Medford=2C OR ________________________________________________________________________________Subject: Pietenpol-List: Re: Speaking of Doc...

William; good points, all! To address them one by one:The fuel in the tank was 100LL, but it wasn't there for long. Some time ago Idrained the tank to replace the fuel shutoff valve. Nothing on that end of thesystem is a problem. Same with the carb... I pulled the small screen on thefloat bowl, cleaned it, and 'tickled' the float to make sure it wasn't hangingup on its pivots (it wasn't). Everything clicked and tinkled inside the floatbowl just like it's supposed to and there was no sign of varnish or residueon anything.Mag drop at 1700 RPM is indeed where I test it on runup, and it is normal... about50 RPM difference between drop on L and R mags. Mags are almost new Slicks, both have impulse couplers. I have not checked compression on the cylindersbut will do so very soon. I have also not timed the flow from the fuel systemto the carb, but can easily do that as well. My guess is that I can fill aquart container in less than a minute, yes... but will verify.I will ditch the K&N filter oil, clean my Air Maze filter again, and replace it-but I worried about the dust we had in Texas and wanted to have something thatwould hang onto the dust on the way through the filter. Up here in Oregon,we don't have much dust. In any case, I tried running the engine without thefilter and it made no difference in the "I gotta have carb heat!" behavior.--------Oscar ZunigaMedford, ORAir Camper NX41CC "Scout"A75 powerRead this topic online here:http://forums.matronics.com/viewtopic.p ... ___Subject: Pietenpol-List: Re: Speaking of Doc...
