Hey Stu,I don't remember exactly what we did, but I DO remember the clearance wastight!First I'd suggest you look at a lot of ford installations onwestcoastpiet.com and see if there are any pics to help you out.Would it work if you ground off part of the bolt head and part of thewasher?My ford installation is now a continental so I don't have it in front of me.I know I didn't use the springs.
