Sometimes... no, A LOT of times it is necessary to have bends that are across thegrain and also with the grain. When bends are made parallel to the grain, alarger radius needs to be used to avoid over-stressing the metal (cracking). That's life.Bill C.Read this topic online here:http://forums.matronics.com/viewtopic.p ... ___Subject: Pietenpol-List: Piet friendly intercom systems

Having a difficult time with comms in the Piet. Is there a simple PTT intercomsystem available? They all seem to be VOX only until you get to the five hundredbuck range. Would also like independently adjustable volume. Thanks,ToolsRead this topic online here:http://forums.matronics.com/viewtopic.p ... ______Date: Tue, 25 Oct 2011 02:28:54 +0000 (UTC)

Carson,I first made 'backer plates' to receive sheet metal screws, but the coversare sealed and held in place with the screws. Inner tank repairs willrequire screw removal, then working the covers loose from thesealant...sorta like on a Mooney.Gary -----Original Message-----

Backer plates are only .040. Screws are set in sealant, too.-----Original Message-----
