Has anyone tried using a Wagner power sprayer to apply helmsman spar varnish toany of the fuselage, tail sections, wing, etc? I'm wondering how well it workedif at all, and what kind of finish it would leave on the interior surfacesof the fuselage?--------Bob 'Early Builder' DewenterRead this topic online here:http://forums.matronics.com/viewtopic.p ... __________

Bob;I have not heard of anyone doing that, nor do I know how the finish might turnout. About the only improvement I've seen to doing it the old way by dippinga brush into a can of varnish is a tip in the old BPA Newsletters. It showeda fellow with a pump-type oil can with a section of plastic tubing from the oilspout out to his paint brush, where it was secured such that as he pumped varnishfrom the can, it flowed onto the bristles of the brush to keep them wet.Still 100% hand work, but no dipping in the can.It would probably be easy to find a Power Painter on Craigslist, load it with varnish, and give it a try on a temporary wooden structure.--------Oscar ZunigaMedford, ORAir Camper NX41CC "Scout"A75 powerRead this topic online here:http://forums.matronics.com/viewtopic.p ... __________
