Ray-- I don't have shielded ignition on my Eisemann mags either but I did carefullyfollow Tony's advice in shieldingmy magneto switch P-lead wires, grounding them at both ends and that had to havehelped because I can use myhandheld radio without too much ignition noise. Here's something my United Airlines buddy Joe Tomasic told me years ago when flyingour Champ and using a radiowith unshielded ignition......'just switch to fly on one mag while you're listeningor transmitting.'
