Ken Perkins Piet

Post by Richard Roller »

HI everyone. I thought that I would try to upload some pictures of Ken Perkins Piet, N34KP. Ken has been a great friend of mine through the years. He is a wonderful mechanic and machinist. There are many parts flying around on various Piets that were made by Ken. I've been fortunate that Ken has taken me under his wing (so to speak), taught me many things, and of course the ultimate present, lets me fly his Piet.

Glad to say that I will have quite a few "Perkins Parts" on my plane (if I ever get it done.) My visit to Ken's home/machinist's den was very inspirational.

Tom, how about a progress report or some pictures? Nothing like some atta-boys to get things moving again. Cheers, Ken

In mid-February 2012 I had the pleasure of meeting Ken Perkins and spending the entire day with him, hanging out in his shop and later at his hanger to look over his N34KP. We talked of Pietenpols, Model A and B Ford engines and home built and home building of aircraft in general. While we were at his hanger, Ken gave me free access to photograph anything I wanted.

Here are the photos I took that day.

There are a lot of pictures, so it may take a few minutes, but they should load.
