It looks like you and I are at about the same stage. Where are you located? I'm in Cincinnati Ohio. Would be cool to get together.

Dan,
Beautiful work, and beautiful work,a ship!
What is the angled blue steel strap at the rear end of the plywood on the S’board side of the fuselage?

SEVENTH BUILD!
At some point I think you can no longer call it amateur built ha ha.
Could we get a photo montage of your life's work?
Tom, the blue fitting is just a U shaped strap for attaching a seat belt to.
Also, I was asked in a PM about the cable clamps on the center section cross bracing. These are temporary hardware store clamps, the airworthy versions will be swaged.

Which epoxy resin did you use on the fuel tank? Do you plan to run auto gas?

polyester resin; non-alcohol fuels. i have built a few tanks like this with great results.
Re: status of current build
OK. It's the alcohol blended autofuels that can cause problems. Sounds like you're all over it!

Re: status of current build
these are the hardest parts to make on the entire airplane; but got them done
Re: status of current build
These are beautiful builds. It's almost a shame that we have to cover them to make them fly.

Congratulations!! It's a great feeling to be at the covering stage. Suddenly the light at the end of the tunnel seems much brighter.

Careful... I see you've got that plane inverted. Note that the Air Camper is Normal category and only good for negative 1.52 G ;o)
