Looking for a 1936 Pietenpol Scout last known location Canora Sask. 1965

Post by Pat Weeden »

The message below was received at BPA headquarters yesterday. Anybody have any info?
Good afternoon.

We recently restored a 1956 Apache Piper that belonged to Robert and Tommy Wong of Central Airways at the Centre Island airport in Toronto. The airplane will be used as a static display for the children and youth in Hamilton Ontario at the Eva Rothwell Centre.

We also have learned that the 1936 Pietenpol Sky Scout CF-BAA that was made by Robert and Tommy Wong was sold in 1940 to S. Danylchuk in Canora Saskatchewan, I talked with his nephew and he said it was then sold around 1965 to a RCMP officer in Prince Albert Saskatchewan.

Just wondering if anyone would know the whereabouts of this airplane as a fellow would like to restore it to its original condition.

If you can assist us in any way on the treasure hunt it would be greatly appreciated.

Kind regards

Don MacVicar.
