Hold up a minute! The two part epoxy varnish that I am using is out ofthe Wick's Catalogue. It can be thinned and is actually very light. Itis NOT a West product. I am at work but I believe the part number is UV570. I think that if you were to use the West system as a varnish youwould be adding LOTS of excessive weight.I believe it is a Randolphproduct. If you want I can send you the proper description tonight. Getback to me by e-mail if you want.Also, the working life is 6 to 7 hours which gives lots of time for beerbreaks etc.________________________________________________________________________________

I used thinned spar varnish for the wood structures. I wanted deeppenetration into the wood so my first coat was about 50/50 thinner tovarnish. Second and third coats were a little thicker, probably 25/75.Lastly, only in the areas where the fabric would touch, did I apply epoxyvarnish.
