We had a good visit with the DAR and everything was good. We had to change two bolts and he suggested we replace the bungees on the elevator trim with springs because the bungees will rot. that is done and we start covering saturday. Niel is an excellent gentleman,a great DAR. All is good. Bob________________________________________________________________________________Date: Fri, 02 Sep 2011 08:46:15 -0400

FYI,Unless things have changed back to the old days, I don't believe a"pre-cover" inspection is a requirement anymore. Hasn't been for quite sometime.Douwe________________________________________________________________________________Subject: Re: Pietenpol-List: pre-cover inspection

Douwe,I assume you're referring to my comment in another thread a couple of days ago.I was referring to the requirements to license a plane in Canada. Pre-coverinspection is mandatory in Canada, but not in the USA.Mandatory or not, I think it's a very good idea to have another knowledgeable persongive the whole aircraft a good once-over before covering with fabric.Bill C.Read this topic online here:http://forums.matronics.com/viewtopic.p ... ______Date: Mon, 31 Aug 2015 01:43:26 +0000 (UTC)
