Gene the I was talking about is approved for crankcase assembly on all Lycomingengines with no gasket at all. I was not implying that it should be used as agasket sealant although I know a diesel truck shop that uses it to seal jointsin transmissions and differentials in lieu of gaskets. The Permatex Form-A-Gasketis a good product.--------Jerry Dotson59 Daniel Johnson RdBaker, FL 32531Started building NX510JD July, 2009wing, tailfeathers done, fuselage rollingusing Lycoming O-235Read this topic online here:http://forums.matronics.com/viewtopic.p ... ___Subject: Pietenpol-List: Permatex?
