Regarding the eight brace wire fittings that mount to the (outboard) horizontal stabilizer....I made them according to the plans (maybe a hair larger). Will they work? Will there be room to attach the wires? I didn't put holes in the stabilizer yet, so want these to be correct.

John; see pic (Mike Cuy's beautiful Piet)- are these the fittings and wires you're referring to? Not sure what the question is.

Yes, those fittings (eight total). My question is, once the bracket is in position, will there be clearance between the fabric and hardware (of turnbuckle or whatever can be used). It looks like space might be tight with the slight bend of the bracket. Wondering if anyone had trouble there or made the bracket's longer.

Hi John
Yes, it’s very common for those fittings to be made longer.

Guess I'll make new ones.

Why remake them? They're through-bolted to the stabilizer, so you could install the fork ends onto them with the parts loose, then cinch everything down. At that point it won't matter how close they are to the fabric, because the cable end fitting will already be attached to the bent tab.

I can try that out and make new ones if it becomes necessary.
Thank you Oscar.
