Cabanes

Post by builderwannabe »

Anybody lengthened or know of anybody who lengthened the cabanes for ease of entry/exit? Now that I have finished my ribs I am working on the center section. Getting in and out of the fuselage was easy without the center section attached but with a mock-up of the center section getting in and out has taken on a new dimension of difficult, maybe I should do some yoga, pilates, or find a way to get younger instead of lengthening the cabanes.

I've seen the wing raised anywhere from 2 to 4 inches. It's pretty common.

A flop would help. Do you plan on installing one?

Thanks for the replies. i think i will extend a couple inches and install a flop, assuming that is the part of the trailing edge that hinges up.
