Vertical stabilizer doesn't touch front of HS

Hello again....just to see how it's shaping up, I set the vertical stabilizer on the horizontal stabilizer. The front is just about 3/16" in the air. There are 3/16" pieces at the three locations where the VS bottom meets the HS. Is something wrong?

Just add a spacer under the fin

this is my seventh piet and i just leave the space as it is much easier to cover. but, shiming can be done.

Is it covered before attaching to the HS...or is it all put together and then covered?

assemble entire aircraft, check it about three times, then disassemble and cover.
