I'm building a Piet that will have a Model A as well, and here's a place that will rebuild/upgrade for a really reasonable rate. As far as making the parts for the Piet, I've talked to a couple of local machinists, and they all said making the custom parts shouldn't be too difficult or expensive. The site I linked to will modernize the A engine, and increase safety and longevity. Babbitt Bearings went out of the automobile world for a reason.
