Stewart Systems fabric

Post by JimBob »

For those of you who have been there and done that.
Did you use the light or medium fabric?

When you think about it, the Maule series of aircraft (one of the few fabric-covered aircraft still in current production) are covered using the *medium* weight certified fabric. The M-7s carry twice as many souls as an Air Camper, have a gross weight twice that of an air camper, use engines with twice the horsepower of most Air Campers, and have a Vne twice that of an Air Camper. Sounds like the *light* fabric is just fine for our Piets. Just my opinion though.

34KP has medium weight SuperFlite on it. Personally, I would hesitate to use light fabric.
