Chuck, there are several locations where turnbuckles are (or can be) used in the plane and although most of them are for 3/32" cable, some builders use 1/16" for the tail braces (for example), so there is that.

The reason I'm asking is there is a guy that has 17 for sale. I'm not sure he knows what they are, but he says as closely as he can tell they are 36TPI. I'm thinking that would be a #8 thread, and *maybe* a Piet would require #10? Buying new ones runs pretty heavily into my play money.. :D I haven't sat down and counted yet, but just off the top of my head I can see 24.
