I am currently pulling my fuselage together:) But I am having a problem understanding the 1933 plans regarding the meeting of the rear seat backand the turtle back support. The plans show the rear seat back going all the way flush with the top of the fuselage. It also shows the turtle deck supportgoing 3/4 of an inch below the longeron. Can anyone clarify how this shouldbe built? It is starting to look like an airplane:) I left the plywood sidesoff and I am finding this very helpful. I will leave these off for a while soI can locate my controls. Thanks,________________________________________________________________________________

Ron,There is a crosspiece that supports the top of the rear seat back. It isBEHIND the top of the rear seat back. The plywood turtledeck support isglued BEHIND the crosspiece ---- glued to the back of it. This also givesa little 'cut-out' for the shoulder blades.John-----Original Message-----

That front cowl support is more of a problem. I think I glued in someblocks on top of the cross stiffener to glue to the back of the cowlsupport. It seems like the plans were not so clear. The last one inch brace you mentioned must be the tail post. I know minedid not work out so well. I know another builder who did what you describe.Let me know how it comes out.John-----Original Message-----
