Took them off for tworeasons:1) The airplane was higher making it more difficult to get in, 2) It landed different from the 600 tires. Maybe it was my imagination, butit seemed to me the airplane flew better with the smaller tires. Mike B ( N687MB )2)________________________________________________________________________________

I'm sure it had big air tires on it at that time. The photospointed to in the N687MB message show a much smaller diameter tire. What was the incentive to switch to the smaller tires? I haven't settled on awheel/tire sizeyet and thought that the big wheels really looked sharp on "MR Sam".Dick Winkel________________________________________________________________________________

The attraction of "Mr Sam" was the jauntyappearance of the noise pointing into the air while sitting on those big tires. But, I'm looking for a ship that I could fly for the next 30 years... looks likethe smalller tires will be better to live with, as well as more affordable.Regards,Dick Winkel________________________________________________________________________________

Maybe a little more nose heavy, but not bad. Ifound it somewhat more difficult to land. Maybe due to the nose highattitude. Not much different in airspeed. 75 to 80 as always. I guess if Ipersisted it would have been OK, but as I said, entry & dismount wassomewhat more difficult.Mike B (Piet 687MB )>________________________________________________________________________________
