Im organising the cutting of metal parts as we speak. I have sourced 4130 at awholesale price through a friend. I contacted a local laser cutter and asked ifit was something his machines could do. He said that being for an aircraft,he thought it needed to be water cut and not laser cut. I know other builderswho have had their parts laser cut so it must be ok I would assume. Does laserproduce more heat and maybe that is where hes coming from?Just wanted to put it out there and see what others thought before I go back tohim.Scotty--------Tamworth, AustraliaBuilding a Corvair Powered Pietenpol Air Camperwww.scottyspietenpol.comRudder, Vert stab, Elevators and Ribs built...Building Horizontal stab...Read this topic online here:http://forums.matronics.com/viewtopic.p ... ___Subject: Pietenpol-List: Made in time for dinner!
