Don -That's all right. I'm not absolutely sure that yocum137 was correct, which is whyI asked if there would be any problems with extending the front attach fittings.I suspect not, but if there's a potential problem with structural strengthit will be far better to discuss it and find out now rather than find out inflight later. (Perhaps someone can point to some threads where it's alreadybeen hashed out.)Hey, I'm Mr. Frank! :DIf I remember correctly, Lowell Frank [username Pieti Lowell on this forum] cllippedthe wing by 2' but I'm not sure if that's off each wing tip or only offthe total span. Either way, the loss in lift due to loss in surface area shouldtheoretically be compensated for by increasing the angle of attack for a givenflight condition. Hopefully Pieti will provide us a summary of how the angleof incidence was handled originally and what changes are contemplated.--------Bill FrankRead this topic online here:http://forums.matronics.com/viewtopic.p ... ______Date: Fri, 26 Aug 2011 14:29:56 -0700Subject: Re: Pietenpol-List: Re: Rib - about to cut wood - spar perpendicular to chord line?
