I have that publication. It is good stuff. Thanks. I have been reading it for amonth now. I took the gas line off the carb and let it flow into a gallon milkjug. It took 75 seconds to fill so that figures 48 gallons an hour. It is rainingkittens and puppies right now but will taxi more tomorrow. I am going totie her down and run the engine at full power for 1 minute just to build myconfidence in it some more. You see I know the mechanic that overhauled it andhe looked a lot like me.--------Jerry Dotson59 Daniel Johnson RdBaker, FL 32531Started building NX510JD July, 2009thru covering and painting, now in final assembly21" wheelsLycoming O-235 C2CJay Anderson CloudCars prop 76 X 44Read this topic online here:http://forums.matronics.com/viewtopic.p ... ______Date: Thu, 7 Jun 2012 17:47:18 -0500Subject: Pietenpol-List: Sorry, but I couldn't find a beet field...

Glad to hear you=92re safe, Dale. Planes can be rebuilt ' people can=92t. I=92llbet it was carb ice ' I=92ve had similar experiences with a 65 Continental onmy J-3 Cub years ago. It seems just about the worst set of conditions arehigh humidity and about 50=B0. I taxied a long way in such conditions onceand the engine just quit as I started to do my runup. After a couple ofminutes it ran fine again.Jack PhillipsNX899JPSmith Mountain Lake, Virginia _____
