All,Last night's intended engine run never actually happened.but I wouldn'tdescribe it as a 'bust.' Several very good things happened, and, after all, this has been a learning process all the way through.I was very fortunate to have quality people at my side: Jim Markle, MikeWeaver, Chris Tracy.just to name a few. As he says, Jim "grew up on a farm,"and guys like that know stuff. Mike Weaver is an electronics guru, and ChrisTracy.well he provided incentive. I think there is truth to the rumor thatJack Phillips offered Chris $100 to throw a monkey wrench in the works,'cause I am SURE I had everything wired up right.and I did see Chris' handsin the compartment at one time.Anyhow, we determined that I had made a basic error, that may have fried mycondensers, and we simply ran out of time. I'm disappointed for Markle tohave put so much effort into seeing the Beast come to life, and for Chris, too, who really did want to hear a Corvair; but I came out on top! Not onlydid I learn some stuff about electronics, how distributors work, etc., MikeWeaver brought a friend, a workmate, a fellow pilot...who owns a largehanger!!! Do you know how HUGE that is here in California!! We struck a goodrelationship right off, and I am now assured a home for my Pietenpol! Ifnothing else came out of the day than that.I am a Winner!Well, I'll try to make some progress on the engine run, but Brodhead is justaround the corner and I am reminded that I have some other obligations.See all y'all in Brodhead,Gary________________________________________________________________________________Subject: Pietenpol-List: Fuse Ply

Hi Earl - I started off with the caulking gun style and very quickly went to thesmall plastic graduated mixing cups. I personally would not bother with thecaulking gun. When you have a big job you just mix a couple of cups. The stufftakes forever to set up so there's no rush.--------Kevin "Axel" PurteeNX899KPAustin/Georgetown, TXRead this topic online here:http://forums.matronics.com/viewtopic.p ... ___Subject: Pietenpol-List: Re: Engine Run
