If you have a small Continental, i.e., an A or C series engine, even an O-200,this may be of interest to you. We're offering this to the Piet list membersfirst, EAA 302 members second (my EAA Chapter), and plan to list any remainingitems on eBay after OSH.Continental P/N 530213 is the replacement Conn Rod Bolt for all of the above referencedengines (also used on some engines that are quite a bit larger and generallynot used on a Piet.) My IA has recommended that because I don't knowthe history of my engine... it would be very wise to replace these.About half the bolts are packed in the paper/foil US procurement bags, and areNOS items from Fed Surplus. New, unused, unwrapped. The other half are in singlebags, and/or unbagged, as we've opened a few to see what was inside. After a net search, we've found that the sellers with the $12 item cost generallydon't have stock... and the most available parts are around $16 each.Since the sealed bags hold 10 pieces, we're offering them for $100., which is only$10. per bolt. The loose bolts will also be the same cost. I will be preparedto bring these to Brodhead, to save on shipping costs, if you're interested.Supply is limited, so if you need any, PM me ASAP.--------Tom KreinerRead this topic online here:http://forums.matronics.com/viewtopic.p ... __________

I'm planning on flying up in my Stinson Voyager. Leaving on Wednesday morningfrom Mineola Wisener (3F9), but will stop off at St. Louis to spend a day andpick up my Son. We plan to depart Creve Coeur (1H0) on Friday morning directto Brodhead. Let me know if this fits in your schedule or flight scheme. Hopeto see you there.--------Robert CaldwellRead this topic online here:http://forums.matronics.com/viewtopic.p ... __________

Subject: Re: Pietenpol-List: Re: Who's flying from TX, OK to Brodhead NOW OT theone that got away UNCLASSIFIED Robert, since you mentioned a Stinson, now I can tell you my story about the onethat got away.In 1992 I was working in Dalhart, Texas. I went out to the airport to see whatwas going on and who rented airplanes. There was no flight school and no one renting, but the Lineboy mentioned that a part owner of a pretty Stinson Stationwagonhad died and the family was trying to sell his half. When I saw the plane,it was awesome. It had been restored to prize winning status including anengine overhaul. I got the number and tried to contact the family. Never was ableto get hold of them. Finally, I gave up. Later, I found out that it sold. The other partner told the family that they coulddo what they wanted but his half of the plane was staying right there in Dalhart. As a result there were no offers. Finally, a local rancher bought 1/2of the plane for $2,500 so that his wife could learn to fly. The one that got away.Blue Skies,Steve D On 07/17/13, caldwrl wrote:> > I'm planning on flying up in my Stinson Voyager.
