http://youtu.be/fuU8bf0vqvMA much edited video of yesterday=99s flight. At 6:30am, I was the only one on the fieldfor a short time. It was 50=81=B0F on the ground, but closer to 45=81=B0 at altitude, but quite comfortable (I put the forward cover on). I don=99t care for the noise or the shaking at this location and will most likely not do any more videos from here.Gary BootheNX308MB________________________________________________________________________________Subject: Pietenpol-List: Re: front instrument panel

Paul,That seems like an expensive way to get instrumentation to the front seat. Thatseems way more expensive than putting a second hand altimeter, airspeed, compass, and maybe engine rpm in front. Plus, how are you going to power them? Battery? What if the battery gets used up? Wire it for electrical? Seems unnecessarilycomplex. If you had a stratus or some other GPS, an iPad could be synced with it, and youcould get instrumentation, except for RPM. But the same issues noted above applyhere.--------Semper Fi,Terry HandAthens, GARead this topic online here:http://forums.matronics.com/viewtopic.p ... ___Subject: Pietenpol-List: Re: Video from the tail

Way toomuch shake unless power was pulled back to 50-60%. I also use a front cockpitcover in winter and 50 degree F ground temp is about my lower limit. Mount mygopro on the cabanes or flying struts now.Rick H--------Rick HollandNX6819ZRead this topic online here:http://forums.matronics.com/viewtopic.p ... __________

Thanks, Gary! That's about when I was getting up, yesterday. Cai and flew to Paradise in the Waiex and we were tempted to go to Lincoln and check on you, but my grandson had to get back for some reason. Great video. Cai as a GoPro, so we intend to get some video some time.RaySent from my iPad> On May 10, 2015, at 6:49 AM, Gary Boothe wrote:> > http://youtu.be/fuU8bf0vqvM> > A much edited video of yesterday=99s flight. Newer gopros will wiifi commands and live video output to the gopro mobile appwhich runs on android or iphone or probably a nexus7 or ipad. Just mount a nexus7with the gopro app on the front inst board, problem will be where to mountthe camera pointing at your rear inst board? On your chest?Rick H--------Rick HollandNX6819ZRead this topic online here:http://forums.matronics.com/viewtopic.p ... ______Date: Sun, 10 May 2015 13:04:26 -0500Subject: Re: Pietenpol-List: Re: front instrument panel

Rick,Good to hear from you, and hope your machine is flying well! I use a Sony camera, which links to my I-phone, but for some reason it willnot link while the engine is running. Gary BootheNX308MB-----Original Message-----

I finished sanding the outlines of the 14 aileron ribs. This includes roundingthe edges of the gussets which will come into contact with fabric (I hope). Lastsanding was made with 360 grade. [quote="steven.d.dortch(at)gmail."]Why not? You could mount it on your shoulderharness straps just like a police body armor video camera. I would also think you could mount it on the seatback over your shoulder and usedifferent wedges to cushion it and so that it gets the picture you want. Do you actually need to go pro apps? or is it that much better than other appsfor free? We actually have 3 or 4 year old android phones that were have been replaced asthey are obsolete. One has a cracked screen and it costs more to fix than thephone is worth. We loaded them with free kids apps and let our preschoolers playwith them.
