Pietenpol-List: Rib Spacing, 3 Piece Wing

I'm building the 3 piece wing and can't figure out the rib placement. I've positioned the ribs according to the original 29 ft wing plan, but when I refer to the 3 piece wing supplement, I notice there seems to be a rib located 8 1/4" from the butt rib on the wing (next to the center section). That leaves the gap to the next rib approximately 5". Am I missing something? Should I reposition the next rib to split the difference?Tim WhiteSpringfield Ohio________________________________________________________________________________

Agreed Chuck, with one note. I did what you described. My mistake was trying to approximate the connection location. Should have the tab connections installed...Sent from my iPadJack Textor> On May 30, 2015, at 6:16 AM, "Charles N. Campbell" wrote:> > OK, I agree with Jack except on one fine point. I put my ribs in loose and spaced them approximately where they were supposed to go. I then used mason's cord to run where the drag and anti-drag wires were to go and spaced the ribs so that they cleared the cords. I glued the ribs in place at this point, took the cords out and then put in the compression struts, and then the drag wires -- minor difference.
