Beautiful Piet Rick, mine is just about the same, 2700 cc Corvair, 17 gal frontcowl tank also designed starting from Mike Cuy's design (welded aluminum), 736lbs empty. Gravity feed to an MA3-SPA. I just trimmed a tail post. It looks fine except one thing. My cut was measured1/2" from the inside, forgetting about the gusset. So that tail post is now .625wide, not .50 because of the gusset. If I do the same on the other half, mytail will be 1 1/4" wide, not 1".Is that a big deal? Is the tail post supposed to be 1" with or without the gussetsincluded?I can easy knock off another 1/8".just wondering.
