Arcraft spruce cap strip options

I am going to start building ribs for my Pietenpol. I was going to order the cap strips today, but the plan calls for 1/4” x 1/2” cap strip, and Aircraft Spruce and Specialty only sells 1/4 x 7/16 and then jumps up to 1/4 x 5/8... whats the deal? You all been using the 1/4 x 7/16 or 1/4 x 5/8 for your ribs? Also, can anyone give me a quick answer on how much cap strip and how much plywood im going to need for the ribs? Otherwise i can get out my caculator

its further up on the list-

i don't remember how much cap strip i ordered, but aircraft spruce has it listed as 100 64" pieces
oh, make sure you post your questions in the "Pietenpol Builders Forum" section
you may get an answer faster- I'm not sure how often people look in the "Photo Section"!

I would just use the 1/4 X7/16 and adjust
any construction difference.
