I am shopping for felt for under the fabric on the leading edge and other surfaces. They talk about it quite a bit on the Stewart Systems videos and docs.
Has anyone found an economical source for it. They seem pretty proud of it at Aircraft Spruce. Also I would like to buy it in an < 2' wide strip but everywhere I see it sold by the whole bolt width and I really would like about 2' x 14' strips.
Thanks in advance for any input.

Re: Felt for Leading Edge
On N34KP Ken Perkins used polyester batting he bought at a local fabric store. Pretty easy to work with. Gives a little bit of "give" when the leading edge is pressed. Also an air passage behind the fabric when installing and gluing the fabric. No air bubbles under the paint. It's been on Ken's Piet over twenty years now.

Re: Felt for Leading Edge
I bought some from Wicks. 5 yards, which should be enough for the leading edges and the turtle deck.
