What is the angled blue steel strap at the rear end of the plywood on the S’board side of the fuselage?

Tom, the blue fitting is just a U shaped strap for attaching a seat belt to.
Also, I was asked in a PM about the cable clamps on the center section cross bracing. These are temporary hardware store clamps, the airworthy versions will be swaged.

fuel tank complete and ready for filler neck. tank has stesrman type fuel gage.

Which epoxy resin did you use on the fuel tank? Do you plan to run auto gas?

polyester resin; non-alcohol fuels. i have built a few tanks like this with great results.

OK. It's the alcohol blended autofuels that can cause problems. Sounds like you're all over it!

used top from a dried can of pvc glue for filler neck and cap. plywood template is the master tool for all the top division work

the loop is where the small chain will be attached.

these are the hardest parts to make on the entire airplane; but got them done

These are beautiful builds. It's almost a shame that we have to cover them to make them fly.

Congratulations!! It's a great feeling to be at the covering stage. Suddenly the light at the end of the tunnel seems much brighter.

I think one of my former employers bought avionics from the same place you did! (The local photocopy-shop.)
